Title: Attracting Tomorrow’s Talent with Today’s Leaders: Overcoming Generational Differences

Speaker: STEVE BENCH, Founder, Generational Consulting, LLC

A proud Millennial himself, Steve will offer the perspective of each generation and engage everyone in the discussion by building understanding of who we are, how we were raised, and how we view “work” as part of our identity. Learn management strategies to overcome generational differences by building culture within your association that leverages the strengths of each generation and attracts new Millennial and Generation Z members and employees. Differences between Millennials and Gen Z (and how to engage us) are also highlighted. Adulthood has changed, and young adults are defined more by a lifestyle than a career... So how do you manage and motivate someone who may not seem as committed to their association as previous generations? This session will give you the answers, energize your group, and get people talking!

- Manage Generational Differences with improved understanding of each generation, especially Millennials and Generation Z, and how to increase their engagement level.
- Identify Areas of Generational Conflict to manage the needs of all generations.
- Develop a Talent Attraction Strategy: Learn tangible ways to build culture that engages Gen X leadership and highlights Boomer experience to demonstrate your association rewards hard work and loyalty with career develop and pathways for growth.
- Develop a Talent Retention Strategy: Retain talent by engaging Millennials and Gen Z and keep them from leaving by showing them pathways for how they can thrive and make an impact in your association.
- Takeaway Deliverables: Attendees are provided with my full slides, including information on all reference articles, studies and supporting materials used to create this training session.

About the Speaker:

Steve Bench is a nationally recognized speaker who has shared his message with audiences across the country. Prior to founding Generational Consulting, Steve was program director for Business World where he worked with thousands of teenagers every year and those Millennials have informed and inspired his presentations.
