A quarterly meeting for the ISAE membership to provide educational, motivational & networking opportunities. Networking lunch from 11:45AM- 1:30PM followed by two breakout sessions until 3:00PM, as well as an Associate Meeting & New Member Orientation in the morning prior to the ISAE Luncheon.

ISAE Quarterly Meeting: Lunch/Program Details

11:45AM- 1:30PM Networking Lunch

Register to join us for our quarterly networking lunch then sign up to attend the educational program from 1:30PM- 3:00PM (see below).


1:30PM- 3:00PM Educational Session 1

Title: Maximizing Your Marketing Budget

Join this session to cover current marketing budget research and findings, overall marketing budgets as a percentage of a total budget, segment marketing budgets by channels, and how to maximize your budget to meet your association goals!

 

Speaker:  Kris Winter, The Queen Speaks

Kris Winter is the “Queen of Everything Marketing” for M2K Marketing Group. Kris has over 25 years of crafting successful marketing campaigns in both corporate and agency settings. She formed M2K Marketing Group in 2006 with the mission of helping organizations change the world – or at least their corner of it. Kris is a member of the Iowa Society of Association Executives, serves as the national chair for the Association of Women in Communications Professional Development Committee, and is on the boards of the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service, Friends of Iowa Civil Rights, Iowa Rural Development, and Endow Urbandale. When not enjoying a good book or a good political discussion, you can find her enjoying a glass of wine – or two.

Title: Grassroots Advocacy Best Practices

Hear how to do it successfully, best practices in engaging your members, tips for Day at the Hill events and case studies of what has worked and what hasn’t in other associations.

 

Speaker:  David Adelman, Cornerstone Government Affairs 

David Adelman joined Cornerstone Government Affairs in 2010, bringing over 10 years of substantial experience in grassroots advocacy, developing and implementing strategic legislative campaigns, drafting and analyzing legislative language and reports and establishing, administering and advising political action committees. David helps Cornerstone clients identify opportunities and establishes a road map for success at a local, state and federal level. On behalf of a Cornerstone client, David drafted, assisted in the passage, and secured funding, establishing a full medical school loan repayment program for primary care physicians. He works with clients to increase funding and tax incentives enhancing economic development programs.

10:30AM- 11:30AM ASSOCIATE Member Meeting

Attention Associate Members: You are invited to attend an Associate Member Meeting from 10:30-11:30 AM, prior to the regular ISAE lunch/program events. Come get acquainted with other ISAE Associate Members and have a chance to network and learn from each other.

 

Topic: Meet the Planners

Going us to hear from some of the leading meeting planners in our area. This will be a great opportunity to hear from the planners on what they are looking for when selecting a venue to host their event and the suppliers that they will need to have a successful event. Panel members will be Kristen Dearden, Association Management, Ltd.; Jill Manternach, Iowa Bankers Association; and Katrina Davis, Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives. Make sure and register today!

 

11:00AM- 11:30AM NEW Member Orientation

Attention New Members or other interested Members: You are invited to attend a New Member Orientation from 11:00-11:30 AM at the same location. Come get acquainted with some of our current members and have a chance to learn about ISAE and ask questions.
